You will have to reapply there, for Medicaid - welfare health insurance. Welfare health insurance is no good, out of state, so you'd need to apply to IL if you live there, or OR if you live there.
2 :
You'll have to get your health insurance from the school. In Illinois, all college students have to have health insurance. You can pay an extra fee and get it for your dependents. Some schools have their own child care centers.

No, the child's family should beg for donations.

Do you hate facts? What "republican" EVER said that. Typical liberal logic, if the facts don't help, LIE!

As long as he hasn't been aborted, they don't care ...
4 :
We'll just let the libs kill it. They don't seem to mind.
5 :
Oh, come on... They don't even let the Illegals or the ciminals on death row be left to die.
6 :
No one is turned down for care, with or without health coverage: The last four links as Y/A won't let you "post" more than ten!
7 :
See, this is what causes libs to lose all credibility. They don't know the facts. The facts are that anyone and I do mean ANYONE with a critical illness get health care. Have you ever heard of Medicaid? Also, did you know that you can walk into any emergency room and get treated on the spot with no proof of ANYTHING? Not to mention, let's go into all these households that are crying about no insurance and find out how many have state of the art cell phones, flat panel TV's, state of the art Stereo systems, and God knows what other modern electronic gadget. The problem with these whiners is that they have their priorities all screwed up. The cell phones, cars, TV's and such take priority over the well being of their children.
8 :
Republican HEALTH CARE RUN UP COST AT THE E.R. ha ha hahah ah ha hahahaha
9 :
Nope, Thats why Republicans started the SCHIP childrens state health insurance program Over Democratic party objections in 1997. When every Democratic member of the Hourse of representatives, Voted against giving children health insurance.

I am currently required to pay 72% of health costs for my children, what if Ex decides to go out of network

I am currently required to pay 72% of health costs for my children, what if Ex decides to go out of network?
My ex is asking me to pick up charges for a Doctor she knows is out of our Health network for our child, Am I still responsible? Doesn't she have to stay within the network? What would stop an Ex from purposely taking them out of network to cause me a financial burden?

if you are court ordered to pay it than you can go file to get it changed most county courthouses have self help centers and they will tell you what paperwork you need to file in order to get it changed
2 :
Well my husband has to provide insurance for his other child, which is fine, but the kids mother threw a fit that she couldn't use it at the current Drs office. She took my husband to court and everything and tried to get a judge to make it mandatory for my husband to pay any "extra" costs. the judge basically told her, "Look this is the insurance that his work provides, and he is holding up his end of the deal by carrying insurance for the child, if you want to remain at the same Dr then You (you being the mother) will have to pay for any additional costs" It may be different in your state. Make some phone calls and ask questions, it surly wouldnt hurt.
3 :
Is it the only dr who can meet your child's needs, or is she just being annoying? I think a judge would require her to stay in network, as AhManDuh says, or tell her to pay, UNLESS it's the only dr who can meet the child's needs.
4 :
What does your decree from Family Court say? If it does NOT say she MUST use in network doctors for your child, and she does NOT have to consult with you over what physician she uses, then she has that option and you can't prevent it, nor can you say I won't pay for it because I will only pay for in network medical care. I have never heard of such a stipulation being made by the Courts, to be perfectly honest with you. And most health insurance plans will pay for out of network doctors...you just end up with a larger co-pay, that's all. To refuse under the circumstances I outlined would put you in violation of a court order....do you really want to deal with the after math of that? What you should have done is when the hearing was taking place, ASK the Court if the stipulation that she stay in network if at all possible.Understand that under certain circumstances medical care can only be given by an out of network doctor, especially in an emergency...it happens.

What would be the effect on child's heath if the child sleeps less than six hours in a day? Friday

What would be the effect on child's heath if the child sleeps less than six hours in a day? Friday?
A growing child of about seven months in age sleeps for about 10minutes when he falls asleep in the afternoon, and sleeps for less than six hours in the night. What would be the effect of this abnormality in a child's health?

I would assume none. This is 'acceptable' albeit a lower range of total sleep. Some babies just don't sleep as long or much as others. The sleeping patterns should shift as this child ages. If it were 30 minutes a night, then I might be a bit concerned, but 5-6hours... I wouldn't be so much. Definitely doesn't warrant any medical intervention.
2 :
As long as he is in a good mood during the day, he is getting enough sleep. Try to stick to exact bed times so his sleeping schedule will be the same and he should be fine.

Since Obama sharply raised the Cigarette tax to pay for Child's Health Care, should we all smoke

Since Obama sharply raised the Cigarette tax to pay for Child's Health Care, should we all smoke?
Or should those who smoke keep on smoking since it's paying for universal Children's Health Care? Basically, what would Jesus want you to do? you're not supposed to raise the taxes of people with kids, you're supposed to lower them. Because it's kids ya know. lol yes Obama smokes, so at least he isn't being a hypocrite.

could you stop if you wanted to? thanks for paying for kids health care.
2 :
The children need to start smoking, for 2 reasons: 1 - they are the ones benefiting from this tax 2 - it will create more children's health care needs
3 :
Jesus would want us all to stop smoking, stop making cigarettes, and take the money you spend on cigarettes and donate it to some charity.
4 :
If everyone who smokes quit, the money our health care system would save in medical costs related to smoking would fund greater services to children, and everyone really.
5 :
Smoke! Choke! Die!
6 :
He should put that tax on liquor as well. Alcohol is always ignored when it harms society just as much with drunk drivers.
7 :
this is such a stupid question....smoking is for losers,,,that all there is to it
8 :
ugh... despite the fact that I know it would help pay for something like that, I really wish I never started smoking.
9 :
I quit, but not because of that. It's simply not fair to make a consumer of a certain product shoulder the burden of so much of our nation's taxes. I'd revolt if enough people would rise up with me.
10 :
Couldn't care less, like a lot of others on R&S I don't live in America.
11 :
Nope, we shouldn't. I don't know what Jesus would do, but if I see him, I will be sure to ask.
12 :
I knew as a smoker I was making this country a better place. Now I have to go smoke a cigarette.
13 :
I've been smoking my a** off to pay for other people's kids already! Why don't they raise the taxes for people that HAVE kids? I chose not to have any yet my lungs are paying the price. Not fair! Btw cigarette taxes support much more than child healthcare such as education, if we would all stop smoking the tax system would have to be trippled all across the board. Yes their cute little kids but they're not MINE!lol
14 :
I can't say what Jesus would want us to do for sure but I think he would be happier if they legalized marijuana(it's natural) taxed it and used that to help children....and well they would make a lot of money so it would help more than just the children:)
15 :
If people took all the money they spent on cigarettes and put to into the Child's Health Care system then Obama wouldn't need to tax Ciggs. IMO, he's killing two birds with one stone by discouraging smoking with high taxes in an economic crisis and putting the money towards kids health. EDIT: The irony is, Obama is/was a heavy smoker.
16 :
i think that this is a way of getting people to stop smoking so much while aiding children's health care with the money from the raised tax. so with the raised taxes, hopefully this will make it harder for people to fund their nasty habit, and the money spent by those who make the air harder to breathe for all of us will go towards a worthy cause that will really help our nation

child support/health insurance

child support/health insurance?
I am the father who has been providing medical insurance for my child since he was born. Am I responsible for any outstanding bills the insurance does not cover or is the mother?
Law & Ethics - 9 Answers

1 :
if you have joint custody or visitation then you will both be responsible for half
2 :
It depends on what the custody papers say.
3 :
I personally think that the mother would be if it is your insurance.
4 :
It's not your child. Therefore she was having an affair if the sperms were 99.5550.53 unrelatives. Walks away, not pays.
5 :
If it is yor insurance then you are the one who is responsible for any uncovered bills unless your divorce decree specifies otherwise.
6 :
Check the court order. Should be the mother, don't let them screw you, you have done a good job.
7 :
In almost every case, the unpaid portion is split 50/50. For your specific case, your court order holds the answer.
8 :
That depends entirely on your divorce, child support paperwork, or other court docs. MOST times, both parents are required to hold insurace for the child AND both parents are required to pay 50/50 of what isn't covered by that insurance. But the court papers can be made to say just about anything. So you may split the uninsured stuff 80/20, 60/40, or there is no split and only one of you has to pay it. The only way you are going to get your real answer is to re-read your divorce/court paperwork to see what was ordered. What that says, is what you do.
9 :
FIRST: read the child support papers - divorce papers - what does it say? here is my situation: ex had insurance on the child - nothing was written in the court papers - so, I was held liable for 100% of the out of pocket. usually its good to do 50/50 - but, if it doesn't say anything - i would say she is responsible for it.... and make sure when she goes to the doct. the bills are in her name and not yours - so, it doesn't go towards your credit!

What do you believe meets the criteria for a mentally ill child to be hospitalized

What do you believe meets the criteria for a mentally ill child to be hospitalized?
I am wondering what the criteria is for a child with mental health issues/diagnoses to need an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization?
Mental Health - 8 Answers

In my opinion, if they are starting to become dangerous, or too much for the parent/ care-taker to look after. That's about all I can think of. I hope it helped a little.
2 :
For adults, it's when they are a danger to themselves or others. I would assume it's similar for kids. TX Mom
3 :
The basic criteria for an official 72 hour "hold" is a danger to self or others. Also, in the case of any abuse, social services can step in the best interest of a child if the parent is not acting in this way.
4 :
Same as it is for an adult.....risk of harm to themselfs or others.
5 :
My husband works for the state taking care of the mentally handicapped, some of the houses are in a regular neighborhood but he works in a community of about 50 or so houses. When they are violent towards themselves or others they go to a special building to be watched, if they are extremely violent or, excuse me for saying, crazy as hell then they are hospitalized/put in an institution. So if the child is a danger to himself/herself or others. Talking to their doctor about their behavior you should be able to put them in a psychiatric ward.
6 :
uncontrollable and violent, only a health care professional can determine that, the child needs to be examined for a condition to be diagnosed
7 :
danger to self or others---cutting self, making physical threats to others, physically assaulting others (including biting, punching, hitting, etc.).
8 :
When they can hurt another person or themselves. Also when they are becoming just too much for the adult/gaurdian/care giver to handle.

I need health insurance for me and my unborn child

I need health insurance for me and my unborn child.?
I am 3 months pregnant and have no health insurance. Should I apply for medicaid only or is there something else I can try to get as well?
Pregnancy - 8 Answers

1 :
Apply for medicaid for sure.
2 :
go apply for medicaid... i was on MC+ for pregnant women... if you have no health insurance you need something so you can get to the doctors.
3 :
medicaid, WIC, food stamps
4 :
You should apply for Medicaid. The worst that can happen is that they will not approve you. You will have a hard time finding insurance that will cover you and your pregnancy at this stage of the game. Most companies will consider your baby a "pre-existing condition." You may be able to get just the baby covered under Medicaid. That way at least part of the hospital bills will be paid. And you can work out a payment plan for the rest. That's what I had to do with my second child.
5 :
should have thought about that b4 putting your babies health at risk...I mean what do yall be thinking...you want to rely on the gov geesh...why have a baby if you are not financially ready.
6 :
As for Medicaid, it depends on how much you make. Everyone told me "they can't deny you if you're pregnant." Well in my state (NM) they can, we make way too much. A lot of insurance companies have 6 month maternity clauses which prevent us pregnant girls from getting insurance with them OR they consider pre-existing. I would check out Medicaid and see if you qualify though, you don't pay for a thing. It makes me mad bc we pay all of these tax dollars and can't get any help when it comes to this, yet our tax dollars go to a lot of these women who are unemployed and get pregnant and get a totally free ride bc of it. Good luck. EDIT: Thumbs down bc I'm stating the truth? Wow, whoever gave me that is probably the unemployed woman getting a free ride, you think?
7 :
I went to my county's job and family services and applied. Make sure you take 3 recent pay stubs if you work, social security card, and an i.d. They approved me for medicaid and then had me choose one of three different providers a couple of months later. Caresource is the one I chose, and I have had no problems with it. Just make sure when you choose a doctor they accept patients with it, because once you choose, you have to wait a year or so to switch. Good luck!

I just came across this website, you may find many useful information on health insurance quotes, hopefully may help you: http://all-health-insurance-quotes.blogspot.com
