should i be concerned about my and my children's health if my husband becomes a tattoo artist

should i be concerned about my and my children's health if my husband becomes a tattoo artist?
My husband is looking to start an apprenticeship in a tattoo parlor. Hes an artist but he wants to take his art to another level. What my concern is that we have 4 small children in the house and Im scared that since hes going to be in contact with skin and some blood he might catch some air bone illness or harm full bacteria that may get the children or even me sick! What are the odds...He says Im being to paranoid. I just want my children to be safe.

2 :
You're paranoid. Although tattoo shops look dirty, you'd be surprised at how clean they are. I can't remember what magazine it was, but I read most are cleaner than fast food kitchens.
3 :
In his apprenticeship, one of the most broad and important topics taught will be cleanliness and safety - both for the piercer & "piercee." Piercing has come such a long way in terms of health and sterilization, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. So long as he keeps gloves on and clean hands underneath, that's essentially the only part of him that will come in contact with anyone else.
4 :
I'm a tattoo artist/piercer and trust me, health and cleanliness is the biggest priority in reputable tattoo shops. First of all, your husband isn't even going to be tattooing for a while if he's just starting an apprenticeship. He's going to be doing things like talking to customers, cleaning the shop, setting up equipment, etc. Second of all, when/if he does start tattooing, cleanliness is a huge issue. The area of the body that the client is getting tattooed is cleaned thoroughly. The tattoo artist wears gloves and in some shops, a mask. Tattoo artists wash their hands before and after every client. And all needles and equipment are sterilized, and disposed after each client. Trust me, you have nothing to worry about. Good tattoo shops pride themselves on things like this.
5 :
I feel sorry for him... Your reason is the same excuse the government has been using to take away our freedoms. God help him if he decides to get into firearms. Stick with what you know, your soccer practice van and CNN
6 :
There isn't a chance of passing an air borrn illness in a tattoo shop accept for maybe the common cold. You should be more worried about him possibly getting a skin infection. But the chances of your children or you getting sick from that are next to nothing. Tattoo shops have changed over the years, most of them have become cleaner and have to follow the rules of the local health department when it comes to disposing equipment and cleaning. If any thing he should look into getting vaccinated for Hepatitis and I'm sure he isn't going to be careless enough to bring any thing home with him that could make you or your children sick.

Are there any health insurance plans based on income

Are there any health insurance plans based on income?
I'm a student and work part-time. I need health insurance before I go back to school in a few weeks but I only make 700/month. I don't qualify for state health care since I have a child and live with her father who earns too much.

I don't know of any health insurance plans based on income, but there are certainly some plans specifically for students that take this into account. Try contacting your college or university healthcare department, they can probably put you in touch with companies that offer student healthcare plans.

Why are Republicans against Health-care for poor children

Why are Republicans against Health-care for poor children?
Why are Republicans against Health-care for poor children? Many children below the poverty line don't have health care. If universal health-care provides health-care to kids in the inner city and poor neighborhoods and areas why do they want to take that away from america's most at risk children? are they looking out for the blue collar american family they claim to represent or for themselves and those already with health-care? Source: Grew up in the inner city to a family below the poverty line in the projects in Richmond, Va. Not all poor children are provided with healthcare like the GOP would like you to think. To the guy below saying those without Healthcare shouldn't have children. what if they could afford to have children but hit hard times like many families today in this economy?

"Poor children" have health care provided by the taxpayers, have had so for a long time. Drama is unbecoming.
2 :
Nice false choice there, sport. Why do leftists believe in fantasyland?
3 :
Why are people who can not afford health care for their children having children to begin with? Why can't they take a little personal responsibility and say, we can't afford children so we shouldn't have them. Why do liberals like to pick the pocket of the tax payor and give to those who think they are owed a living by everybody else? I assure you there are enough state programs available for poor families, in Florida we had a program that if you made less than 30K your children could be insured for $15 a month. Most conservatives oppose national healthcare because of the beauracracy that will have to be funded in order to administer it. Remember there is nothing Government can do outside of it constituional limits as well or a economically as private industry can!
4 :
Greetings! That is an excellent question. If they sat in Emergency Rooms like several of my clients have to when they need medical care, they probably would be singing a different tune. Every other industrialized nation have figured ways to take care of their citizens...everyone except us. Now that we have it on the board for real, only the Republicans have the audacity to remove it. It's very sad, and also very telling. They argue that it is the Democrats that need to take notice of the tea party. Well, now that Republicans have the floor, they now have two years to completely correct the devastation that their previous leader, George W. Bush created, the EXACT amount of time that they have given President Obama. Lets see if they can deliver.
5 :
What do you call Medicaid and or CHiPs? Try again genius. If you or any inner city kids were poor and did not have health coverage then blame mommy and daddy because the programs are there.
6 :
The answer is Medicaid - medical care for those unable to pay for it due to financial shortfall. Please name the Republican that wants to take that away from these unfortunate kids. If the income cut-off is too high then the law should be amended. Blaming unnamed Republicans for something that hasn't been shown to be fact is not the best way to start, or continue, discourse on the national health care problem.
7 :
Dear heart, Republicans are not against health-care for poor children per se! They first and foremost, have no interest in the poor at any age! Can't you see that! Why do they vote against policies that would benefit the poor and the elderly? It's because they are against any policy sut forth by our awesome president! Unfortunately, the greatest benefit to all americans that failed inclusion into the health bill was public policy, which would have allowed competition amongst major insurers whose cost have run amuk. We would have quicky seen the healthcare cost drop in half by these insures whose customers would have run for the less expensive option. We unfortunately, no longer have that option and for that, I am truly saddened.

When is the earliest a child can be insured

When is the earliest a child can be insured?
Is there a minimum age for the health and/or life insurance of a child? If yes, what is it?

They can have either life or health insurance on the day they are born. Many infants are covered by health and life insurance. Good question.
2 :
Right away. I bought my kid's life insurance in infancy, and added to my health insurance immediately. If you don't have health insurance yourself, most states have some kind of kid's health insurance available. Call an agent for specific details. Are congratulations in order? If you have a newborn, congrats.
3 :
There is no minimum age for health or life insurance for a child. The only limitation is that life insurance on a child can usually only be written for a fairly low maximum, I believe it may be up to $10,000. Life insurance on a child is usually used to help cover burial expenses since children typically do not have income replacement issues.
4 :
You should think twice about getting life insurance for a child. If you were to lose a child it would be a tragic loss, but life insurance is designed to replace income for surviving family members. It's probably safe to assume your child is not earning income you are depending on so you probably don't need life insurance for him/her. Health insurance is very important for young children and they are usually added to your policy right away. I think it can even be retroactive up to a certain time (30 days).

Did Jesus tell you that we are supposed to pay for universal children's health care

Did Jesus tell you that we are supposed to pay for universal children's health care?
Did He say to setup free hospitals for kids? Or did He say to setup Government sponsored Medicade through your taxes? Other countries don't even have universal children's healthcare, so why do we if Jesus never said we had to have it?

jesus said we never had to have anything but faith
3 :
I'm sorry i can't hear you over my free health care.
4 :
Here in the civilised world ( UK ) we have had free health care for all for a very long time. It's good to see that you are finally catching up.
5 :
Yes He did, saying that when one of the least who is sick in society, and we do not help and care for them, then it is He Jesus who we are not helping, nor caring for.
6 :
He told the rich guy to give all his money to the poors. Also he made sick and poor people to be helped by good people or ignored by bad people. That is the way he makes things and we choose to be good persons or not. The sin is in those who know how to do good things and they don't.Also in the temple a woman gave all the money she had and the rich gave a lot of money , Jesus asked who gave more? obvioulsy the widow, because she got rid of everything she had. Also there is no men on earth who can be rich, healty etc without god, that means we ow god all the blesses we have, one way to pay it is giving money to the ones who need.
7 :
"Other countries don't even have universal children's healthcare, so why do we if Jesus never said we had to have it?" Are you not aware that the US is the only developed country that does not have Universal or Socialized health care?

is this a good thesis for child sex slavery

is this a good thesis for child sex slavery?
child sex slavery should be abolished because it affects the children's health, education, and family ties.

This just in: Slavery is bad! Also water found to be wet, and fire hot. No seriously, don't you think it's a little too obvious? Some tougher questions would be things like how common is it exactly, and HOW do we abolish it (it's already illegal, after all).

my exhusband just got remarried. he will be covering our children under her free health care insurance?
now that my ex husband is remarried, he is putting our children under new health care with his wife's insurance. he was paying 1000 dollars a month for insurance and now will have free health care. will my child support be adjusted to this new insurance? because my last evaluation was decided in part because he had coverage and the expense it involved.

You should go to court to have the support payments re-evaluated.
2 :
Once you have verification that the children are indeed covered on the new wife's insurance, you should request a new hearing regarding the child support payments.
3 :
Most likely not. But you can always request that the child support be re-evaluated.
4 :
Going back to court is your best choice. You have to be assured that your children have good health care, and also, you should now be receiving child support. Blessings.

can staying a virgin for long time have health sideaffects for females

can staying a virgin for long time have health sideaffects for females?
..im 19 years old virgin and for past year i've been experiencing chronic pains "downstairs", i heard once that some girl who was 20 and virgin, was also experiencing abnormal pains, especially while she was on period and her doctor told her that only solution to it would be her having sex and having a child..... what are possible health - side affects of being virgin?
Women's Health - 10 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Talk to your doctor about the pain but no it's not because you're a virgin.
2 :
just use a dildo if you dont want to loose it with a man at this moment...
3 :
being a virgin is actually extremely healthy for women because their vagina hasn't been changed and confused to the brain. this is a definite myth that being a virgin is bad. society today makes it that you HAVE to have sex. i honestly think just waiting till your married because then that honeymoon night will be an AMAZING night. your pains is probably just something common. having a child is really bad for the femal reproductive system because it changes the cycle and everything.
4 :
no i'm a 13 year old male virgin but anyway u will not have any side effects if u are a virgin
5 :
Well, that sounds like some BS to me. You will be fine - I promise that you don't have to go get knocked up just to solve your problem. Call your doctor and tell him about your worries - he may need to check for an infection or cyst or something. But don't go out having sex just because you think it will solve your problem.
6 :
no being a virgin has no side affects at all! back in the day women stayed Virgins until they were married and sometimes that wasn't until like 25 so your fine. (btw i'm 14 not 50 and i just heard my grandma go on and on about the whole sex to young thing, not that i have had any.) maybe you have an infection. WOW there is a reasonable solution.
7 :
Your doctor is a fool and a quack! Never go back there. Having sex or children will not provide a solution! The 'side effects' of being a virgin are freedom from disease, more respect and honour in marriage and freedom from guilt. Provided the 'flow' is normal and there is no 'blockage', spasmodic pains can be experienced by numerous women, younger or older, as a matter of course and the 'pains' often clear up spontaneously. For relief in the meantime, however, take 3 x 1000mg of 'Evening Primrose' capsules for a day or two prior to your next period and, drink a couple of cups of Chamomile tea during the first day/s of the period. If you are over- or under-weight, even slightly, some light exercises to regain general fitness also helps.
8 :
Nothing. You're probably just ovulating or you need to poop or pee. I get abnormal feelings in my abdomen and "down there" all the time.
9 :
What you heard isn't true, but it is true that women who never get pregnant or never go on the pill are thought to have a higher risk of ovarian cancer because of constantly ovulating. So in a way, there is a side effect to being a virgin.
10 :
aye, indeed. in some rare cases women have died from not having sex
