Will the health dept let you selectively vaccinate

Will the health dept let you selectively vaccinate?
I live in WV and can only get a medical exemption to legally send my kids to school. I want to only vaccinate for the ones that are necessary to enter school. If I take my child to the health dept. can I choose what vaccines she recieves? Or do I need a dr.s order?

WV only allows for medicial exemptions? Darn, I like West Virginia otherwise.... :-( I would think the HD should give only the vaccinations that you are requesting. Call them and ask. I assume you already know which ones the school requires? (darn near all of them?)
2 :
Yes, they will let you vaccinate for only the ones required for school. And you've probably already thought of this, but you can delay the first vaccines until at least 3 years old, and still have time to get them all done before kindergarten.
3 :
Why would you not vaccinate? Is there a medical issue at hand? Vaccines save lives. Plain and simple. And you can read up at http:factsnotfantasy.com/vaccines.php for a point by point rebuttal to most of the lies told by the anti-vax pro-disease crowd.

If the only reason people don't have health insurance is because they spend their money on luxuries instead

If the only reason people don't have health insurance is because they spend their money on luxuries instead?
as the neocons claim, how can forcing them to buy coverage be a bad thing? If their irresponsibility is putting a drain on our system, why not correct the problem? Buy your children health insurance instead of the X-Box.

When I was self-employed, I couldn't get insurance due to a pre-existing condition.
2 :
A fair amount, but I'd bet that most are just trying to get caught up on basic necessities or paying down existing debt.

Good answer, good answer! Actually, all they know is this: If a Dem thought it up, or if a Dem thought he or she might think it up, or if a Dem might like it---it must be a horrible, terrible idea that puts our freedom and our finances on the line!

Health insurance premiums cost much more than an X-box does. Further, people are currently unable to obtain health insurance even if they have the money, if they have pre-existing conditions. The healthcar horror stories are rampant and true. The United States is the only civilized/industrialized country in the World that does not provide its citizens with healthcare. We can bomb the shit out of those half a world away and then spend hundreds of billions occupying and rebuilding their country. Why can't we do the humane and affordable task of providing our citizens with healthcare?
5 :
You obviously haven't priced personal health insurance lately.
6 :
Youre completely missing the point. Health insurance is purely a personal choice. I believe chris rock said it best, "insurance should be called incase sh1t; you but insurance incase sh1t happens". What NEEDS to be passed, are regulations that remove the requirement placed on hospitals that require them to provide treatment to everyone. People should be wise enough to know what services they should buy, and there should be consequences for not doing so. Let these people learn the hard way that if they CHOOSE not to pay for insurance, they may not have a valuable service when they desperately need it. If the government were going to anything, let them provide oversight. Let them force the insurance companies to provide coverage to ANYONE who wants to pay for it, regardless of preexisting conditions.
7 :
And when they don't buy the insurance and Geitner's health care police arrest them and they go to jail, who is going to feed them and their families? Those who are currently paying the bills/taxes, of course.

Should health givers honor a woman's wish to bear children, in the following situation

Should health givers honor a woman's wish to bear children, in the following situation?
Here's the situation; a woman wishes to bear children, but all pregnancies have had defects that have resulted in the offsprings' deaths. These defects can be observed even while the fetus is still in the womb. The woman, however, insists upon bearing children. As a health giver, should she\he honor the woman's wish? If not, what would be her\his appropriate action? Follow up details: Should the health giver honor the woman's wish, even if the woman seems to have genetic problem (which has not yet been proven by a test)?

I'm not sure what you mean. How can someone honor (or not honor) someone else's wish to bear children? And how can someone insist on doing something when her body obviously is incapable of it? I can insist on flying, or on growing to be seven foot tall, but that won't make it happen. Sorry, but I don't understand what you're asking.
