Anyone have information on child care regulations

Anyone have information on child care regulations?
I am trying to find information on child care regulations in the state of Georgia. I am looking for information particularly regarding to a gym/health club child care center - child to adult ratios, capacity limits and things like that. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it so much!

Child care regulations are typically under the jurisdiction of the Department of Human Services in each state (although the name of the agency may vary from state to state). I'm not familiar with Georgia in particular, but that is the state agency to contact for answers.

Question about Minimum standards for child care ceners

Question about Minimum standards for child care ceners?
I am talking about health practices, Environmental health for child care centers. I have this questions What standards we are happy that a child care center have to follow? Which issues or concerns do we feel standards don't address? Which standards can be implemented in a K-4 classroom? I want to see someone elses opinion.

Try addressing these questions to your local government's education office, or a child care provider in your local area. I made an appointment with a child care centre when I was visiting my hometown once, and they were very helpful. They even sought consent from parents for me to photograph their children during their class session and gave me a whole load of promotional materials.

What can he do about visitation with his child

What can he do about visitation with his child?
My boyfriend has a 5 year old daughter that was born in Tennessee. He is listed on the birth certificate as the father. He pays child support and health insurance. Originally he was ordered to have the child every Sunday. He and the mother were never together. He and I have been together for 6 years (since the mom was 2 months pregnant), so the child has known me all her life. However the mother has always been bitter toward both of us. 2 years ago she moved with her parents and his daughter to Pennsylvania. For the last 2 years things have been relatively civil and the mom cooperated to let us get the child for some holidays and some of the summer. Recently, however, there was a fight between me, the mother, my boyfriend, and mom's new boyfriend. Since then she has threatened that he will never see his child again and that she's getting a lawyer (although she doesn't have a case, since the child is not mistreated by us in any way). Immediately following the fight, she stopped censoring what she says about the 2 of us to his child and needless to say, the child is going along with what mommy tells her. She wont call him anymore and when he calls, the daughter yells into the phone that she doesn't want to talk to him. What should he do at this point? Can he get a new visitation schedule ordered by the court since technically the old one was violated? Will he or the mother be in trouble for not notifying child support or court that she was moving 2 years ago? Any advice regarding what his next move should be is greatly appreciated. just to specify, he and I have a wonderful relationship with his daughter. She has never reacted this way toward him until after the mother got mad infront of her.

If the mother is receiving child support she is supposed to let them know that she has moved its not his job, and yes he can go and get a court ordered visitation schedule since that one was in violation. She will be in more trouble them him. Just tell him not to put his daughter in the middle of the fights its not healthy for her.
2 :
It is unfortunate that you all are in this situation. It would be nice if parents (the mom in this case) didn't involve their children in adult situations. I would suggest hiring a lawyer because the lawyer will be able to guide him through the whole process. At this point the mom is probably going to make things as difficult as possible. I would get a notebook (like a composition book) and document all communication and make sure you put in dates and times and exactly everything that is said. He can also tape record all phone calls. Make sure to inform her (only once) that all calls will be recorded for future reference (makes it admissible in court). If she is trying to play games this will help in court and they always forget eventually that they are being recorded. He can always file with the courts for a new custody agreement at any time. These things can get nasty and a lawyer will be able to make sure that he does everything right.

general insurance or einsurance are very good i have been in three accidents in one year all my faults and three cars brand new and two tickets under my belt and i pay only 247.00 i havent had insurance for three years this is my second yr and i am 23
2 :
No. The college student IS going to cost $200 a month, and YOU, assuming you're 40 or so, are going to cost $300 a month if you're in good health. That's JUST what it costs. Just like, you can't walk onto a Cadillac dealer's lot, and buy a brand new car for $25. It's not out there. Now, there's ONE decent medical cost sharing program out there - medi-share.org - and if you're living a Christian lifestyle (no smoking, no shacking up, no obesity) and don't have preexisting conditions, they will allow you to join their group, and it's considerably cheaper. But it's ALSO not insurance.
3 :
Here is one that is very affordable and includes all areas of Medical Benefits. Check for the doctors and dentists in your area under "Provider Search' first. then you can sign up on line. Click below: http://mybenefitsplus.com/wpaul Contact me if you need more details.
4 :
I do know of an alternative solution that you might consider. It's called Ameriplan Health. It's a premier discount benefits program that's very affordable. For $59.95 a month it covers an entire household and includes Dental, Vision, Chiropractic and Prescription. All that for that same low price. This program covers everything, even pre existing conditions. There is no age limit either. Please let me know if you're interested, just email me.

Do I need to add my unborn baby to my health insurance before I deliver

Do I need to add my unborn baby to my health insurance before I deliver?
I'm not due until May 19 but I read in a book that if you choose to add your unborn child to your health insurance, you can. But no one can tell me for sure if I need too. Open enrollment for my insurance isn't until September of next year, after my baby is born. What do I need to do?

If you can't add your baby to your insurance than you need some type of insurance for your baby maybe medicaid? Or your going to be paying astronomical bills.
2 :
The baby will automatically be added once he or she is born. I only had to supply my son's birthdate for my employer and then he was added to our HMO.
3 :
Have you talked with HR? I'm sure they would be able to help you with that. And, yes, it makes life much easier (hospital bills, especially) if you add him/her to your insurance before you deliver.
4 :
Most insurance companies won't allow it until the baby is actually born. When my daughter was born I was told to contact the insurance company right away and add her to my policy. Even though it wasn't during the open enrollment period they still allow it because it's considered a life change. Anytime there is a marriage or a birth you can change your policy any time of the year. As for bills since my daughter wasn't on insurance when she was in the hospital the hospital put the bills on hold and as soon as I showed proof of insurance they billed the insurance.
5 :
I would definitely look into it.
6 :
You cannot add your baby until after the baby is born. All you need to do is contact HR after the baby is born with her birthdate and name. Don't worry about open enrollment, you can always change your insurance coverage for major life changes (like a baby!)
7 :
I think an insurance man has to go in and see it first.
8 :
Call your insurance company and let them know that you are expecting and they will let you know what you need to do....Normally you just have to fill out all the paperwork at the hospital and then when you get out call them again and add the baby because you will then have thier name and actual date of birth....most companies give you 30-60 days to add your child after they were born and cover them from their due date still But to be safe and ensure you are on the same page with ur ins company, be sure to call and write down who you spoke with and on what date and what they told you to do. This will come in handly if you have problems later down the road. Hope this helps
9 :
i didnt think you could until you had their actual name and social security number but i could be wrong. either way, you only need yourself covered up to the delivery and when you add your baby afterward the insurance will go back and cover whats needed for the baby. i had a baby in march and i didnt add him to mine until about a month later when i got his social security card but he did have to go to the hospital a few times before that and they gave him temp. insurance for 30 days until i was able to add him. so you definitely need to make sure you add your baby before their 6 week checkup, dont wait till open enrollment. its different if its a new baby, you dont have to wait.
10 :
You won't be able to add your baby until he or she is born. You should have 30 calendar days after the birth of your child to fill out the paperwork with your insurance company and get him or her added to the policy. That means that if baby needs medical treatment within that time frame, he or she will still be covered provided that you submit your request for coverage before the deadline. Best of luck and congrats! ETA: Open enrollment should not apply in this case. Things that are deemed "life events" by insurance companies - the acquisition of a spouse through marriage, or the birth or adoption of a child, for example - do not require a waiting period for coverage. You should have no problem getting your baby added to your policy immediately. Again, good luck!
11 :
Check with your insurance company. Some OB packages include care for the newborn under your insurance for 30 days. Mine did. My baby was covered under my insurance policy for 30 days, which gave us time to find another company. It was a good thing too, because our baby was born a month early!
12 :
I can tell you for certain because I work for an insurance company (Blue Cross Blue Shield) Coverage for your child begins the day of his/her birth. Some insurances will allow you to call right into the Customer Service Department to add to newborn on the date of birth. Now if you have single coverage your employer might require you to fill out the insurance form to add the child if the addition of your child would change your premiums from single coverage to family coverage, but if you already have family coverage then you should be able to call right into the customer service department on the date of yours child's birth to add the baby. Usually the fathers are the ones who call in at our company after they leave the delivery room.
13 :
They will most likely want you to add the baby after your baby has been born, I've never heard of someone adding a baby before they were born. Your insurance company should allow you to add your baby as soon as they are born, you will probably have about a month afterwards to get them enrolled. Insurance should be able to be changed during open enrollement OR a qualifying event, birth of a child is a qualifying event. If your insurance is through work then double check with whoever is in charge of benefits, if you have your own insurance then you should call them to find out exactly what you will need to do.
14 :
When I asked my insurance company they said that they usually don't allow this, mainly because of names. You may have a name in mind, but then you change it. Or you have a diff. sex baby. You definitely don't have to worry about it now. You have 30 days from the date of birth to add the baby and he/she will be covered since birth. You don't have to wait for open enrollment, having a baby is a life change that entitles you to make any changes to your policy, not just add the baby. So if you want to get more coverage/less, change your deductible, etc, you can.
15 :
Probably not. Most insurance plans allow you to modify your insurance when "life" issues happen for a limited number of days after the event. I had my baby last May but open enrollment wasn't until June. After she was born, we got her social security card and put her on the insurance plan. It worked out fine. Contact your HR consultant for specific details on what you need to do with your plan.

Ameriplan USA , they are a discount program. Basic Healthâ„¢ - Only $29.95 per month. There Please visit http://www.mybenefitsplus.com/40617802 for more information.
2 :
Texas has the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Check with you state's health department for their child medical insurance program.
3 :
Blue Cross Blue Shield, I pay $66.00 for my 12 year old and awesome coverage.
4 :
You don’t need to buy a discount plan for you child, insurance companies will allow plans that only include a child. This is helpful for parents who get employer-sponsored coverage through their job, but can not get their child included on the employer’s plan. If your child is healthy, chances are there are some very affordable options available in your area. I suggest you can a licensed agent that represents multiple health insurance companies or look through your options online. At eHealthInsurance.com, where I work, you can get free quotes by only putting in your child’s birthday, zip code, and gender. We also have licensed agents you can call toll free at 1-800-977-8860. Health Insurance for child

Health Insurance for child?
Here is my situation: My divorce decree doesnt state who has to provide health insurance for my son, me or his mother. A while back before the divorce was final I asked my ex if she wanted me to put him on my health plan and she said that she had already put him on Medicaid. Ok end of story... at least I thought. The state she lives in said that since she applied for low income help, that they were going to force me to provide health insurance. Ok thats fine, I have no problem what so ever providing my son with health insurance. I talked to my health insurance provider and they put me of a family plan that will deduct an extra $100 out of my pay check. I checked around after I added him, and was told that I can open up aseparatee policy for him. That way its cheaper, not deducted out of my pay check, and will make it easier since he live out of state from me with his mother. Has anyone else done anything like this or been in this situation? What did you do? Add you child to your group plan through your job or opened up as separate policy? Blue Cross and Blue Shield is exactly who Im looking at. I already have them through my work, but are rates are kinda high due to other people abusing the system. I open up a seperate policy through the same company, and its loads cheaper & the ex and I can split costs as per the decree.

I am going to say the group health plan is cheaper. If you go thru an insurance carrier to get an individual policy for a child, at least in Tx, it would be at least that each month, unless you go with an extremely high deductible, which would not be in the best interests for your child, or any medical expenses that usually you would have to 50% of anyways (in divorce decree support paper). But depending on what state you live in, I would say you should at least check around - I suggest Blue Cross Blue Shield and Unicare, go to their websites...
2 :
added my kids to my insurance through work; I can't imagine finding a separate policy that would be cheaper than adding him to your existing insurance.....but it was an insurance SALESMAN that told you that....
