Why are Republicans against Health-care for poor children

Why are Republicans against Health-care for poor children?
Why are Republicans against Health-care for poor children? Many children below the poverty line don't have health care. If universal health-care provides health-care to kids in the inner city and poor neighborhoods and areas why do they want to take that away from america's most at risk children? are they looking out for the blue collar american family they claim to represent or for themselves and those already with health-care? Source: Grew up in the inner city to a family below the poverty line in the projects in Richmond, Va. Not all poor children are provided with healthcare like the GOP would like you to think. To the guy below saying those without Healthcare shouldn't have children. what if they could afford to have children but hit hard times like many families today in this economy?

"Poor children" have health care provided by the taxpayers, have had so for a long time. Drama is unbecoming.

Nice false choice there, sport. Why do leftists believe in fantasyland?

Why are people who can not afford health care for their children having children to begin with? Why can't they take a little personal responsibility and say, we can't afford children so we shouldn't have them. Why do liberals like to pick the pocket of the tax payor and give to those who think they are owed a living by everybody else? I assure you there are enough state programs available for poor families, in Florida we had a program that if you made less than 30K your children could be insured for $15 a month. Most conservatives oppose national healthcare because of the beauracracy that will have to be funded in order to administer it. Remember there is nothing Government can do outside of it constituional limits as well or a economically as private industry can!

Greetings! That is an excellent question. If they sat in Emergency Rooms like several of my clients have to when they need medical care, they probably would be singing a different tune. Every other industrialized nation have figured ways to take care of their citizens...everyone except us. Now that we have it on the board for real, only the Republicans have the audacity to remove it. It's very sad, and also very telling. They argue that it is the Democrats that need to take notice of the tea party. Well, now that Republicans have the floor, they now have two years to completely correct the devastation that their previous leader, George W. Bush created, the EXACT amount of time that they have given President Obama. Lets see if they can deliver.

What do you call Medicaid and or CHiPs? Try again genius. If you or any inner city kids were poor and did not have health coverage then blame mommy and daddy because the programs are there.

The answer is Medicaid - medical care for those unable to pay for it due to financial shortfall. Please name the Republican that wants to take that away from these unfortunate kids. If the income cut-off is too high then the law should be amended. Blaming unnamed Republicans for something that hasn't been shown to be fact is not the best way to start, or continue, discourse on the national health care problem.

Dear heart, Republicans are not against health-care for poor children per se! They first and foremost, have no interest in the poor at any age! Can't you see that! Why do they vote against policies that would benefit the poor and the elderly? It's because they are against any policy sut forth by our awesome president! Unfortunately, the greatest benefit to all americans that failed inclusion into the health bill was public policy, which would have allowed competition amongst major insurers whose cost have run amuk. We would have quicky seen the healthcare cost drop in half by these insures whose customers would have run for the less expensive option. We unfortunately, no longer have that option and for that, I am truly saddened.
