Male health for optimal child birth

Male health for optimal child birth!!!?
Obviously male health is very important due to sperm development. My question is, what should a male do regarding diet and lifestyle to develop the most healthy sperm possible? I figure the best thing (gift) I can do for my child would be to give him/her the healthiest start from a biological standpoint. I have read take a multivitamin. But there must be other things. I was thinking vegan diet, no alchohol, etc. I am a male, 27, but very curious and conscience about my health. I am not married but close. We will be this year. I am not concerned in any way about my health and know and understand my body. I guess I am just curious as to what I can do to ensure that I provide my future child with the absolute best possible chance at health. I don't think there is anything more responsible.

You could google it to see. I would say a healthy diet, multivitamin and exercise. You could also talk to your physician to see what he/she thinks. although the women has to be healthy also so sperm is only half the factor. The women should do a healthy lifestyle also for optimal birth but nothing is guaranteed. good luck

"Penalty" in Colorado for someone that's ordered to pay child support not providing health care 4 the child

"Penalty" in Colorado for someone that's ordered to pay child support not providing health care 4 the child?
The child support is paid and up-to-date. I was regarding health care for the child! Bill M, I'm not sure if the child support order states to provide health care or not, but the enforcement agency states that they require it who takes the payments. I don't know what the court order says. How could I find out?

You can go to jail in Colorado for not paying child support.
2 :
Does the court order say they have to pay for health care? If not, health care is part of the expense of raising a child; you pay for half and take the other half from the child support.
3 :
My fiance's ex sued him for child support AND health insurance, if health insurance was provided by his employer at any time. If you work somewhere for an employer who does not offer health benefits, you might be fine. I don't know, however, what the penalty is if you don't comply.
4 :
If the custody order states that the non custodial parent must provide health coverage, then that parent is in contempt of court. The penalty for contempt of court is generally nothing until someone has been hit with it repeatedly. If the order does not mandate that the non custodial parent provide health insurance, then the custodial parent is responsible for it, and the non custodial parent is following the court order, so there is no penalty, as they have not done anything wrong. How do you not know what your court order says?
5 :
Call child support and ask them to send you a copy of your court order. Usually, child support sends health insurances notices to employers when your wages are garnished for the employer to sign your child up for coverage. Has this been done? If your employer does not offer health insurance for dependents, child support may not pursue coverage. First, read your court order.

Larger print. Talk slower. Make an answer board. White board with "Yes, No, etc" on it, the child can point with his eyes if nothing else. Shorten tests so the child has to give the basic idea of the answer - you'll know if he knows it. Make the room accessible for wheelchairs and so student can join in with other students. Supplemental Plan for Children's Health Insurance Program

Supplemental Plan for Children's Health Insurance Program?
My child is enrolled in the children's health insurance program (CHIP) and some of her claims are not fully covered by CHIP, are there any supplemental programs or plans available to her? (For example, my grandparents are enrolled in medicare and have a plan called Care Improvement Plus that compliments her Medicare coverage) Do you know of any companies or programs that would do that for kids? or can they do that?

United Healthcare offers "kids only" health insurance plans that provide children's coverage for sickness and accidents. Their plans are written through school districts and many private K12 schools throughout the US. Their health plan is designed to be affordable, at just $98 every 2 months. Check out www.k12studentinsurance.com to see if your child's school district (or private school) is participating. Click on the "Plans & Pricing" tab, enter the district name or private school name and the state in the search box and review the plans. If you don̢۪t find your child̢۪s school district, call UnitedHealthcare StudentResources at 888-282-5957 to see about adding it.

Thanks To Obamacare, Are There No More Individual Health Insurance Policies Available For Children

Thanks To Obamacare, Are There No More Individual Health Insurance Policies Available For Children?
I've been looking everywhere, but I cannot find any health insurance company that will write an individual health insurance policy for a child. Before Obamacare, there were hundreds of sources for individual health insurance plans for kids, now there are NONE. Does anyone have any idea if there is anyone writing individual health insurance policies for kids?

No. Thanks to the greed of the THREE insurance companies that are not issuing anymore individual policies to children, there are no more individual health insurance policies for children. But again, it is only for the THREE companies that decided to do it. 2 disgusting things: 1) That the insurance companies would this at all. 2) That you would blame their greed on the government.
2 :
Not true. There was a woman at the town hall today who said she got a good rate and great coverage for her kid who had a pre-existing condition. She LOVES Obamacare. And you don't have kids.
3 :
NO, because Obama instituted the repeal of "pre-existing conditions" for children and they take effect now. SO rather than GO OUT OF BUSINESS, companies will just stop writing those policies to prevent parents from only buying a policy AFTER their kids get sick. SIMPLE really!
4 :
yeah there are lots of them... but what state are you in.
5 :
You can get it tomorrow at a much better price.
6 :
Greedy insurance companies have figured out that since they can't deny care to children for pre-exisiting conditions or drop kids when they become ill, they'll just not cover children on individual policies at all. What's the point of having insurance anyway? Unless you are covered by a government plan (as in you work for a government origination), health insurance is way too expensive for a median wage earner anyway you look at it. So, even if you do fork over your $1,000.00 a month, you still have to pay 30% co-insurance, plus a crazy high deductible, plus a co-pay. Thanks, but I'll just put my $1000.00 a month in a savings account, and take my chances on bankruptcy and/or death.
7 :
Under the Health Care Act, insurance companies must cover children with pre-existing conditions. I read today that some of these insurance companies have committed a despicable act but putting their profits way ahead of childrens care. They had refused to cover seriously ill children before but they have gone beyond the pale by by cutting off childrens policies completely. I dont think Obama and those who wrote the bill expected that to happen. They negotiated with the insurance executives several times in good faith and caved in to Republicans not to have a public option with the guarantees the insurance companies would cover kids with medical conditions. I understand that United, Cigna, Aetna are refusing to write policies. Dont blame Pres. Obama. He tried to force insurance companies to cover sick children. It is just terrible. If I had insurance with those companies I would cancel it. ALMACIGA: If you already have children covered by Blue Cross they probably wont drop them but you cannot get a new policy if the kids have pre-existing conditions. Blue Cross is Anthem. Parents wont let their seriously ill kids go without insurance because they can get sick at any time and there are waiting periods for care so no parent would take that kind of risk.
8 :
except for unborn children at the abortion clinic they are covered by Obama Care
9 :
Blame the culprit- the evil bastard insurance companies. This is a PERFECT example of why the insurance industry needed reform. They are gaming the system. It's a perfect example of the fact that they ONLY want to insure people who are healthy and need little to no care. Once the full reform takes effect, there will be more tweaks. There will be plenty of companies who will write a policy for kids, because there is a need.
10 :
Go to Blue Cross Blue Shield, they will not turn you down. My daughter sister in law has her children with them. I am sure there are others. Insurance companies that have that as an excuse did not want to insure children any ways. It will give opportunity for other insurance companies to be created.
11 :
If that is true I'm not surprised. That was the real reason for of the legislation after all. To force as many people on the " government option" as possible. A giant leap toward their goal of " single payer" ( government run and controlled) health care.
12 :
That was on FNC today. An interview with a representative with the Insurance institute stated that they can not write an individual policy because there is no way to know how much it will cost the insurance company down the line. But there will be some type of group insurance after the details are worked out. He said this may take some time but would not commit to how long. He was asked 4 times for a time line. @@@

14 :
That must be one of those things that we didn't know about. We had to get it to find out what it does. All you liberals were so eager to buy a "Pig in a Poke"
15 :
No. You are confusing Corporatecare for Obamacare.
16 :
That would never happen in Canada....I wonder why???
17 :
Yeah, blame "Obamacare", it is not like big insurance has not been kicking off the sick and raising premiums for years. Children with pre existing conditions being accepted, right up their with finding unicorns. I am still amused that connies are not outraged that big insurance would kick off children and the sick just to pad their bottom line, but rather take it out on a law that makes these things illegal. Is it just greed, or do they realyl hate their fellow Americans that much.

health insurance and child support

health insurance and child support?
is there any way to receive affordable health care when you pay outrageous amounts of child support? my boyfriend makes decent money. However, what he makes and what he brings home are totally different. He pays about 260 a week in child support, leaving him with about 260 take home. His job offers health care but he can't afford it since we, like MOST americans, have to actually PAY our rent, utilities, and other such bills. What I need to know is that for low income adults, as far as income requirements, would he qualify for help or not? He's been told in other cases that it's "not their fault" he pays child support. So he should just suffer because health care in this country is a joke? The truth is, is that his children are taken care of, and there is no reason that he shouldn't receive any form of help because he really does work everyday, every week. It's almost as if he should just quit his job and file for welfare like the rest of this city. anyway, if anyone has information about affordable health care considering his circumstances, I would be extremely grateful. Thanks so much! i would like to add that he doesn't complain about how much he pays for his children. he's happy to do it because he knows they're taken care of. as far as messy breakups, he was never married. and it ended fine. my intention was not to say i'm looking for FREE healthcare, i'm looking for AFFORDABLE healthcare. I DO pay half if not MORE than half of all the bills. however, we're not married, and I can't have him on my health plan. I also have no intention of hitting up welfare. I don't like it, I think that qualifications to be on it are ridiculous and biased. I'm not waiting for a "miracle" from washington. He did fine without healthcare for awhile. He tore the meniscus in his knee and will likely need surgery. If not for that, he'd be a happy, healthy man.

First, I would go back to court for the amount of child support-but also check into care with higher deductibles. I used to pay for medical that covered extreme illness, not everyday stuff. I think it was Blue Shield too. I agree with you on the costs-the middle of the road guys (like me and you) can't get help and get charged extremes-and they are just going to crush us with these new "helpful" healthcare bills-
2 :
Divorce (especially with kids) is a bad situation. He shouldn't have had kids if he was not in a marriage that was going to last. You keep talking about what he earns. What about you???? If he is only making about $600 a week then he needs to find a second (or third) job. You can work as well. If you work a professional job, insurance is normally provided as a benefit. One or both of you should get an education and go to work in a professional position.
3 :
Your boyfriend needs to get another job, that pays for the employees health insurance, not just offers it. Not easy to do these days, but its possible. Your BFs child support is determined by his income. There is always a possibility that he can earn more somewhere else.
4 :
ehealthinsurance.com or change jobs...... 260 per week is pretty high unless he has 3 or 4 kids.
5 :
Your boyfriend's child support obligations are considered just like any other bills he must pay. That he pays child support does not change his GROSS income, and that is the figure used to determine whether he qualifies as a low income earner. He apparently does not qualify as low income. That your boyfriend came to you with baggage to pay for is not the fault of the system. If my knowledge of reproductive physiology is correct, your boyfriend had a hand in creating those kids for whom he must now pay.
6 :
Health CARE isn't a joke. EVERYONE has access to health CARE, here in America. What you're talking about, is asking someone else to PAY for it. He has children. He has a duty to support those children. He's living with you, and HE makes about the median household, if he's paying taxes, $260 a week, and still brings home $260 - he's grossing about $800 a week, or over $41,000 a year. It's ridiculous to ask people making less money than him, to contribute towards HIS health insurance. He has a roommate to help contribute towards living expenses - you. He's suffering, because he's not living with his kids and raising them with their mother. That's what happens when you step outside of traditional values. They're traditional, because THEY WORK. The most affordable healthcare he can get, is the one through his job. Likely, it would cost him $200 a month, or even less. ** He was uninsured, then his number came up (he tore his miniscus), NOW he needs the surgery. It's too late to buy health insurance to cover the surgery. No one will sell him "coverage" for something already wrong. He's going to have to work out a payment plan.**
7 :
Sondra, first insurance can only "work" if it is only used for emergencies, not maintenance. Which is the exact reason there is no such thing as a home maintenance insurance policy. Secondly, your boyfriend makes good money and he needs to pay for his children. I know it seems unfair to you, but he had the kid and should the child suffer because dad doesn't want to work a second (third, or fourth) job? As for your thinking that this mess in Washington is going to make it all better for him, it won't. It is going to increase rates AND force him to come up with the cash, or go without insurance and pay a fine to the IRS. Personally, I'm going to pay the fine, then if I ever get sick (or in an accident), I 'll just go and sign up for the insurance. Of course I also know that doctors and pharmaceutical companies are poisoning us to get rich and keep us just sick enough to come back and write a second check. Aren't you working? Don't you all split your bills? You aren't "low income" as a matter of fact the government thinks you are overpaid and is working to steal even more of your money. As for "health care" you can negotiate prices and pay cash for almost everything. A major illness would probably cause you to not be able to work and at that point you would qualify for state help for the medical portion. Call around, check out clinics and the like. My family pays over $12,000 a year to insure 3 of us AND we have never had a year where we did not pay 100% for our doctor visits and lab fees because we never hit the deductible. Personally, I finally woke up and started researching real health, not pill-popping band-aids. I'm healthy and other than the insurance which is killing us, I don't need to go to the doctor. Good luck. ps- as a single male (and you, female) without children, you CAN'T get "welfare" the most you could get are some food stamps. Sorry, only the completely irresponsible get welfare anymore (just have more kids, then your rent is free and you get to spend more on food than I do and I own a business!)
