Which parent is responsible for the health care deductible

Which parent is responsible for the health care deductible?
I really need quick help please. I have full physical and legal custody of my 2 children. My divorce agreement states that my ex husband is responsible for our children's health coverage. He just changed their insurance without giving me notice. The new coverage has a $350 per person deductible and only covers 80% of the care. My children have a lot of health problems that need to continue to be addressed immediately. Which of us is responsible for the deductible and 20% that will be billed? Thank you.

i would figure if he's legally responsible for their health care than he would be responsible for any bills that come from their health problems.

That should also be stated in your decree. My husband is responsible for 63% and she is responsible for 37%, after she pays the first $100.00, but we split all his medical cost 50/50. If it isn't addressed, you will need to call your attorney for the right answer. You can't assume he is liable just because he has to carry insurance. My husband has to carry it too, but he's still not 100% liable for any uncovered expenses.

If this is a significant change, you probably should go to support enforcement or your attorney, depending on your state. This should be revisited via the support order.

The only responsible one is your ex husband especially as he changed their health plans without giving you any notice. However, I advise you to ask some specialists about this. Here;s where you'll find a professional answer: http://www.myhealth-forum.com/
