I would go to a speech tharapist. but take the child to a doctor and if somthings wrong they could tell you where to go.

that is so sad they realy need to bring her to a doctor to find out whats going on

Your brother needs to take her to the pediatrician and ask for some referrals to get her evaluated. The school can help in evaluating her, too. The help you need on this one is medical advice, which nobody can give without knowing a lot more and examining your niece.

They need to have her evaluated by some professional.

Has this child had her regularly scheduled checkups at the pediatrician? Surely if she has, by now they would have noticed this and come to some conclusion about what her issues are. Could be physical, or mental, or combination of the two. It sounds like she is not being taken for any checkups or evaluations, which is really bad. There's a chance that whatever her problem is can still be helped, but she needs to be seen by a professional as soon as possible.

She needs to be seen by a qualified doctor to see whats wrong with her, some of it sounds like autism.

I would question why your brother and her mother haven't checked into this yet, thats neglectful. I have a 7 year old daughter and I've never seen anything like that. My daughter was in speech a year ago, but thats for a few lisps, not for strange and inmature behavior. Why is she still wearing a diapar. Is she in normal school classes? Go over the parents heads and get that little girl some assistance. Please.

Sounds like a developmental delay. My son has that to a degree--he was potty-trained at 3 and he's 5 and has had virtually no accidents--but socially he needs some help. He too likes knocking things over at school (but curiously enough not at home).

Their dr SHOULD have noticed by now that there is a problem. The parents SHOULD have done something by now. This poor child is 7. Has your brother done nothing? What about the school? This child needs to be in therapy. Needs to be evaluated and helped.

I would have a talk with your brother and express my concerns to him. It appears that your niece has developmental issues and needs to be tested. Usually there are social workers and / or psychologists who visit elementary schools from time to time. Parents need to give their consent to have children tested - does your brother believe she has problems or does he think that she will just grow out of her problems eventually ? If he does not give his consent then unfortunately nothing will happen and the girl will not get the help she needs.
