Why can't Dads get child support deductions on income tax

Why can't Dads get child support deductions on income tax?
Dads pay child support, health and dental care for there children and can't deduct anything off there income tax. Yet, the ex-wife and her new man can deduct the Dad's children on there income tax. What is going on here? MEN something has to change with this!

ummmm not all dad's cover health and dental none of mine have.I got 150 a month does that cover a child NO there's your answer it takes a lot more than child support to take care of child. Fla day care is usually more than anyone pays in child support. Plus the child had no health or dental benefits.. daughter is getting 350 a month and she does not get health or dental from her ex...he never comes to get the child..

It is unfair. If you are supporting your child/children you should be entitled to reclaim some of that expense. I have yet to understand that whole scenario and I'm a female. Actually Christmas Elf I have three kids, but I'm fortunate enough to still be with their father. But I bet you do a poll and 90% of females would have a different opinion.
