If the father of your child did drugs heavily, will it take effect on your childs growth and health

If the father of your child did drugs heavily, will it take effect on your childs growth and health?
Ok well the father of my child was/is a pretty big druggie. He did pot, weed, ecstasy, and a lot of other things I probably don't know about. Well in result of all of that he's really skinny he's like 5'10 and he weighs 129 or something idk he's just skinny. I am 5'6 and I weigh 125 and people tell me I am too skinny for my height , but I do not think so. Anyways based on all of this is there a possibility the child will have health problems or trouble growing in height or will he/she be like a child that is born under weight and has problems gaining weight? It just hit me like 2 days ago that something like that could happen and I am really scared.

It's been known for a long time that drug and/or alcohol abuse by the father is just as harmful to a child as the mother as their sperm is effected by it. The child could be perfectly normal or it could have learning disabilities and/or birth defects or a host of other problems. If you're already pregnant, inform your OB/GYN of the problems with the father so they can keep an extra close eye on you and the fetus. If you're not pregnant - for pity's sake use birth control! If the child is already here and seems normal, count yourself lucky but do keep an eye out for learning disabilities or problems later on so you can help your child overcome them.

Do you understand how physical traits are inherited? It's genetic, and if he's a druggie and he got you pregnant, then his drug use did not affect him genetically. The skinniness is a physiological reaction. So basically your baby will be as healthy as if their father was drug-free. As for your skinniness, eat when you're hungry, and no more, while you're pregnant. That is something that is proven to be very beneficial to the health of your children. If you do that, your baby should be fine. Also, I don't understand how doing weed would make you lose weight.
