Is this a good article to support universal health care

Is this a good article to support universal health care?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080506/ap_on_he_me/child_health Also, the European countries scored in the top ten, while African/Sub Sahara region finished last. Is there a race issue involved here? BTW: the US is not in top or bottom 10. Thanks!

Now, if you can tell me how a government that is already $8 trillion in the hole is going to pay for such a massive expense, I may consider reading your article.

1) No one is proposing health care, but coverage - The best insurance in the world does no good if you can't access the care... or the means to pay for it (it's expensive) 2) How many times have you been refused care for you or you child at a community hospital? 3) This is a local and state issue. The federal government cannot possible handle care for everyone. It would be at very best discriminatory. You can't lump everyone together (regionally, racially, economically), but they don't have the resources to divide everyone out, either.

It's an okay article, although the problem in third world countries is poverty and lack of resources. Its questionable whether many third world countries can afford to fund a decent level of universal healthcare. Here's another good article. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/40762.php

There is no good reason to begin universal healthcare. The thought that bad care is better than no care sounds good only to those not receiving the bad care. Universal healthcare costs many billions of dollars and many from nations with it such as Canada are tired of waiting in line and simply travel to the US for proper care. You instantly lose cosmetic care, because only the most needed care is covered and those with the least emergent needs wait forever while those who need emergent care are seen. many developing nations of the world don't provide healthcare because their gov'ts are corrupt and feed their leaders pockets with their taxes and don't care for their people. Look to mexico and the sudan for the definition of corrupt. If our nation wants to go bankrupt then by all means institute universal healthcare.
